Out-of-Association Player Policy Competitive Teams

Policy Statement

The Nepean Ringette Association (NRA) is committed to fair, transparent, and athlete-centered team formation practices that align with provincial standards.

Effective immediately, the NRA will fully adopt and adhere to the Ringette Ontario Team Formation Policy (2026-2027 and subsequent updates) for all competitive team selection processes.

Application

This policy applies to all AA and A competitive teams within the Nepean Ringette Association.


Policy Requirements

AA Teams (As per Section 4.6.3 of Ringette Ontario Team Formation Policy

  • Team selection at the AA level will be based on selecting the best athletes available, regardless of home association.
  • No preference or restriction will be applied based on a player’s home association status, provided all eligibility and release requirements set by Ringette Ontario are met.

AA teams are selected based on athlete performance, with the objective of forming the strongest possible roster, regardless of home association, provided all Ringette Ontario eligibility requirements are met.

A Teams (As per Section 5.5.2 of Ringette Ontario Team Formation Policy)

  • Team formation at the A level will follow the matrix and guidelines outlined in the Ringette Ontario Team Formation Policy.
  • This includes adherence to any requirements related to:
    • Athlete distribution
    • Association representation
    • Roster composition rules as defined provincially

A teams are formed in accordance with Ringette Ontario’s Team Formation Policy, which establishes requirements related to athlete distribution, association representation, and roster composition. These processes are applied consistently and in alignment with provincial standards.


Supersession

This policy replaces all previous Nepean Ringette Association Out-of-Association Player policies for competitive teams.
